BM 2008-02-04 CRDC PARKS AND RECREATION/COPPELL RECREATION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION/TREE BOARD MEETING MINUTES February 4, 2008 Meeting Time: 6:30 p.m. Meeting Place: Coppell Road Service Center 816 S. Coppell Road Coppell, Texas 75019 Members Present: Mark Tepper, Greg Garcia, Mike Ridgley, Jack Clark, Brent Holdridge, Catherine Smithson, Anthony Ho, Robert Lamilla Staff Present: Brad Reid, Guy McLain, Jane Anne Sellars, John Elias, Cecilia Gandara AGENDA Item 1: Call the meeting to order. - Mr. Greg Garcia called the meeting to order at 6:28 PM. Item 2: Citizen’s Forum. - No citizens present. COPPELL RECREATION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ITEMS Item 3: Consider approval of the minutes from the January 7, 2008, meeting. - Mr. Mark Tepper motioned to approve the January 7, 2008 minute. - Mr. Mike Ridgley seconded the motion. Vote: (5-0), approved Item 4: Consider approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Teague Nall and Perkins, in the amount of $39,500.00 for design and construction documentation related to Field Surfacing Development at Wagon Wheel Park, and authorizing the President to sign. - Mr. Mark Tepper motioned to approve. - Mr. Brent Holdridge seconded the motion. Vote;(5-0), approved Item 5: Consider approval of the purchase and installation of Thor-Guard Lightning Prediction System, in the amount of $42,020.00 for Wagon Wheel Park, and Andrew Brown Park West, Central and East; and authorizing the President to sign. - Mr. Jack Clark motioned to approve. - Mr. Mike Ridgley seconded the motion. Vote: (5-0), approved PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD ITEMS Item 6: Discussion of establishing a process by which field utilization requests from new groups, and existing members of the sports council, are analyzed and reviewed. - Mr. Brad Reid will modify the document and email to the board members to review. Item 7: Youth Advisor’s Report - No report from the youth advisors. Item 8: Director's Report - Special Events - Sweetheart Ball, February 8, 9 at the CARC - Family Fish, March 1 from 9-1PM - Community Egg Hunt, March 22 at Wagon Wheel Park - Project Update - Town Center Plaza is scheduled to be completed on 4/1 - Finalizing negotiations with contractors for the Senior Center. - Storage facility at Wagon Wheel; getting design firm to build a design and construct. Item 9: Chair Report - Park Board will re-up Adopt-a-Location agreement. Item 10: Adjourn - Meeting adjourned at 7:34 PM.
