Notice is hereby given that the Economic Development Committee of the City of
Coppell, Texas, will meet in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 255 E. Parkway
Boulevard.

As authorized by Section 551.071(2) of the Texas Government Code, this meeting may
be convened into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential
legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item listed herein.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider the following items:

Call To Order
Chairperson Rohloff called the meeting to order at 6:11 p.m.
Present: Bill Rohloff, Chairperson, Don Carroll, Vice Chairperson, Kamruddin
Shams, Sue Bird, Monica Diamond, Maggie Lucas, David Heartquist, Aaron
Straach, Jeff Varnell, Gayle Westapher, Kim Kelley (alternate).
Absent: Vincent Hsieh
Also present were Economic Development Coordinator Mindi Hurley and
Recording Secretary Ashley Owens.
Approval of Minutes from January 7, 2015
A motion was made by Maggie Lucas, seconded by Don Carroll, that the
Minutes of February 4, 2015, be approved. The motion passed by a unanimous
vote.

Shams, Sue Bird, Monica Diamond, Maggie Lucas, David Heartquist, Aaron
Straach, and Jeff Varnell.

SECRETARY'S NOTE: Executive Session was moved to the end of the agenda.
Chairperson Rohloff convened into Executive Session at 7:36 p.m. as under
the above -stated article. Item 1 (above) was discussed. Chairperson Rohloff
adjourned the Executive Session at 8:00 p.m. and re -opened the Regular
Session.
Regular Session (Open to the Public)
4. Review Economic Development Reports
The Economic Development Report has not changed and is ready to be
presented to City Council. Vice Chairperson Don Carroll recommended adding
reference points from last year in the Business Attraction section for
comparative purposes. Mindi will be adding a Lease Expiration Report for next
year's report.
Mindi would like to develop a quarterly Economic Development report to
present to City Council. The report would be a one page "snapshot".
5. Discuss Landscaping Incentives
Mindi discussed developing an incentive for xeriscape landscaping for
non-residential business owners. The committee needs to decide how much of
an incentive to offer.
6. General discussion and update on commercial and industrial projects
Adjournment
The Chair/Vice Chair breakfast was discussed. Chairperson Rohloff and Vice
Chairperson Carroll spoke favorably of the breakfast and the presentation that
was given by Mayor Hunt.
Mindi distributed the State of the City handout.
There being no further business before the Economic Development
Committee, Chairman Rohloff adjourned the meeting at 8:03 p.m.
