The Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell met on Monday, November 3,
2014 in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of Town Center, 255 E. Parkway Boulevard,
Coppell, Texas.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:

Chair Garcia called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

Pat Quinlan, 181 Simmons Dr., expressed her concern regarding me Grapevine
Springs Trail item on the CRDC Agenda.

Parks and Recreation Board Minutes November 3, 2014
A motion was made by Boardmember Mathew, seconded by Boardmember
Guignon, that this Agenda Item be approved . The motion carried by an
unanimous vote.
Aye: 5 - Chair Greg Garcia, Boardmember Ed Guignon, Boardmember Philip
Hound, Boardmember Biju Mathew, and Alternate Jon Davis
Discussion related to the program elements for the redesign of Andrew
Brown Park.
The Board discussed the addition of a cricket field to the program elements of
the Andrew Brown redevelopment Boardmember Mathew stated that he has
received many inquires regarding a cricket pitch. He would like to know what
the process is to have the item included in the design concept of the Andrew
Brown Park. Chair, Garcia expressed his concern regarding the use and the
need fora cricket field and asked Boardmember Mathew to provide supporting
documentation to show the need.
Youth Advisors Report
Erin Crumpler, Youth Advisor, informed the Board that she will attend a
meeting with the Friends of the Nature Park to present the design for the field
guides.
Directors Report
Brad Reid, Director of Parks and Recreation, reported that the Saturday night
Old Town event had a great turn out The next event is the Lighted Parade on
December 6. The Council awarded the Grapevine Creek and MacArthur Blvd.
trail project at the past Council meeting.

Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss before the Parks and Recreation
Board, the meshing adjourned at 6:56 pm.
