AS 2016-02-16ANIMAL SERVICES BOARD MEETING NOTES DATE: February 16th 2016 TIME: 5:30PM LOCATION: Coppell Animal Services building, 821 S. Coppell Rd., Coppell Tx. 75019. Item 1: Call meeting to order Meeting called to order at 5:34pm. Members in attendance include: Robert Smith, AS Liaison, Grace Adamson, Garfield Reid -absent. Acting as secretary is Nina Williams. Item 2: New Business — None at this time Item 3: Future Discussions Robert began the meeting by letting the board know that with the increase of our adoption fees for dogs $75 and cats $50 that it has not slowed down our adoptions. Robert also gave the board an update on our remodel project which is still in the bidding process but once the bids are received, reviewed and recommended, it will go to City Council for award anticipating that will happen in May or June. Also mentioned, the post that support the awning on the dog run cement had some additional work done due to rust which will be addressed during the remodel. Animal Services also has plans this spring to set up a booth at the Farmers Market to answer questions, pass out information and adoptions depending on what animals we have at the time. Board member Grace Adamson asked to let her know dates that we would be at -the market. We will be looking into working with a local printer to have more educational information printed up to be passed out.
