The Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell met on Monday, May 2, 2016 in
the Council Chambers, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas.
Also present were Parks and Recreation Director Brad Reid and Administrative
Support Supervisor Cecilia Gandara.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:
Regular Session (Open to the Public)
1. Call To Order
Chair Clark called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
Members present:
Chair Jack Clark, Vice Chair Ed Guignon, Boardmember Maureen
Corcoran, Boardmember Lisa Montes, Boardmember Hilary Hodgson,
Boardmember Melinda Melnick, Youth Advisor Kelly Rohe, Alternate Earl
Nesbitt, Alternate Janet Maccubbin, Youth Advisor Nihar Tatapudi, and
Boardmember Lisa Dunham
2. Citizens' Forum: Citizen's should complete a Citizen's Appearance Form. Pursuant to
the State Open Meetings Law, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action on
items not posted on the Agenda. Action on your statements can only be taken at future
meetings.
Babu Rajan, 500 Halifax Drive, expressed his concerns regarding field usage

when not in use under a License and Use Agreement.
Stamen Shafted, 315 Cove Drive, expressed his interest in getting access to
soccer fields for pick up games.
3. Consider Approval of Minutes: April 4, 2016
A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Boardmember
Melnick, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carded by an
unanimous vote.

4. Presentation on the results of a Student Commute and Distracted Driving Survey
Youth Advisor Kelly Rohe gave a presentation on the results of a Student
Commute and Distracted Driving Survey.
S. Consider approval of the 2016 Project Priority List.
A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Vice Chair
Guignon, that this agenda item be approved with reprioritlzing as reordered.
The motion carried by the an unanimous vote.

S. Project Update
Youth Advisor Nlhar Tatapudt had nothing to report Youth Advisor Kelly Rohe
stated that she likes the new lights along the streets.
A. Food Track frenzy had a good crowd, Old Town 2nd anniversary is May 6th
at Old Town
B. The Engineering Department has been working on the Parkway Blvd. Bike
Lanes project, will meet with citizens that will be Impacted. The Wagon Wheel
Storm Drainage System was approved by Council to repair the park. Andrew
Brown Redevelopment project is moving along, concrete has been poured.
