ORDINANCE NO. 91501
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION
3-4-60FARTICLE 3-4 OF CHAPTER 3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF COPPELL, THE "STREET ASSESSMENT" PROVISIONS OF THE CODE, BY
ADDING TO SAID SECTION 3-4-6, A NEW SUBSECTION D; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE RELEASES OF LIENS UPON THE
PAYMENT OF STREET ASSESSMENTS; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. AMENDING SECTION 3-4-6 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COPPELL
That Section 3-4-6 of Article 3-4 of Chapter 3 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Coppell is hereby amended by adding
thereto a new Subsection D which shall read as follows:
"D. RET~ASE OF ASSESSMENT LIEN
Upon payment to the City of Coppell of the amount due on
any Street Assessment obligation owed to the City of
Coppell, the City Manager of the City of Coppell or his
designee is authorized to execute a Release of Assessment
Lien for and on behalf of the City of Coppell, releasing
the lien created against the property. A partial release
of lien may be executed where a part of the obligated
property is sold and a pro-rata payment due from the
property sold, is received by the City."
SECTION 3. REPEALING CLAUSE
All parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are repealed.

SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any article, paragraph or subdivision, clause or provision
of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof, other than
the part so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after
its passage as the law in such cases provides.
DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Coppell, Texas, this the 12th day of February, 1991.
