Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Coppall, Texas viii
meet in a special called executive session at 5:30 p.m. in the Council
Executive Chambers and in special called session at 5:45 p.m. on
Tuesday, July 18, 1989, in the City Council Chambers of the Town Center,
255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppoll, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is to

The variance is requested by the Coppell Community Theatre.
9 PUBLIC HEARING to consider a zoning change, Case
#ZC-520 from (R) Retail and (C) Commercial to
(SF-9) Single Family 9 on property located north
of Bethel Road, west of Bethel School Road, and south
of the Hunterwood Subdivision at the request of
Joyce-Meyers Enterprises (University Park Addition).

12 Consideration of a final plat for the Shadow Woods
Estates Addition located approximately 182 feet south

between two (2) previously designed openings south of
Sandy Lake Road, requested by Stephen C. Hundley, AIA
of SCH Architects and James M. Kurtz, P.E. on behalf of
Mr. H. T. Ardinger.

changes affecting cities resulting from the Seventy-
First Regular Session of the Texas Legislature.
15 Discussion and consideration of authorizing the City
Manager to enter into a contract for professional
services with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for
the technical Traffic/Transportation Engineering Review,
analysis and recommendations on the proposed freeway design
on SH121 between the city limits line to the south and
Denton Creek to the north for an amount not to exceed
$8,000.
16 Discussion and consideration of authorizing the City
manager to solicit technical professional Traffic/
Transportation Planning and Engineering Services for
the study of the City of Coppell's current Major
Thoroughfare Plan west of Denton Tap Road and
recommending necessary changes.
17 Consideration of appointing a City Council Study
Committee consisting of three (3) Councilmen
to investigate advantages and disadvantages and/or
concerns with economic/development Project Mercury -
requested by Mayor Wolfe.
18 Consideration of approving a variance to the sign
ordinance allowing the temporary placement of a
sign on Denton Tap promoting the Texas A&M Project
- requested by Mayor Wolfe.

appointing Election Judges for the Dallas Area Rapid
Transit (DART) Election to be held Saturday August 12
1989 and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
19B Consider approval of a contract with Dallas County
for rental of county voting equipment to hold the
August 12, 1989 DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit)
Election and authorize the Mayor to sign.
19C To consider an ordinance for Case #PD-107 to change
the zoning designation from (PD-R) Planned Development
Retail to (PD-SF-9) Planned Development Singlel6D
Family 9 on a parcel of land located at the northeast
comer of Plantation Drive and Coppell Road and
authorizing the Mayor to sign.
19D To consider an ordinance for Case #ZC-504 to change
the zoning designation from (SF-9) Single Family 9
and (SF-O) Single Family 0 to (R) Retail on property
located north of DeForest Road and east of the proposed
extension of MacArthur Boulevard and authorizing the
Mayor to sign.
19E To consider an ordinance for Case #ZC-515 to change
the zoning designation from (A) Agricultural to (LI)
Light Industrial on a parcel of land located approximately
1,600 feet east of Denton Tap Road, south of the St. -

19G To consider an ordinance for Case #S-1020 to change the

and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
19H To consider an ordinance for Case #S-1022 to change the
zoning designation from (R) Retail to (C-SUP) Commercial
Special Use Permit to allow the operation of a drive-thru
type restaurant located on property 201 feet south of the
southwest corner of Sandy Lake Road and Denton Tap Road
snd authorizing the Mayor to sign.
19I To consider an ordinance for Case #S-1027 to change the
zoning designation from (LI) Light Industrial to (LI-SUP)
Light Industrial Special Use Permit to allow the operation
of an automobile service center, located approximately 618
feet south of the southwest comer of MacArthur Boulevard
and Beltline Road and authorizing the Mayor to sign,
