RATLIFF, City Manager MEETING TIME: Executive Session 7:15 p.m. (Closed to the public) Regular Session 7:30 p.m. (Open to the public) MEETING PLACE: Town Center - Executive Chambers/City Council Chambers 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, TX 75019 Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas will meet in a special called executive session at 7:15 p.m. in the Council Executive Chambers and in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 1989 in the City Council Chambers of the Town Center located at 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items: EXECUTIVE SESSION ES1 Article 6252-17, Section 2 (f) concerning purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property and (g) concerning personnel. a. ITEM DESCRIPTION APPROVED DENIED OTHEB 8A Discussion and consideration of a motion declaring an emergency exists because of flooding sufficient to warrant expenditures of funds without the usual bidding procedure in order to give relief to citizens and preserving public improvements of the City of Coppell. 8B Authorizing for the expenditure of funds not to exceed $65,000 for the Bethel School Road/Pelican Lane drainage improvements from surplus CIP Funds. 8C Discussion and consideration of a recommendation for award of a contract to SYB Construction Company of Arlington in the amount of $76,789 for the construction of drainage improvements on Pelican Lane and Bethel School Road and authorizing the Mayor to sign. 9 Consider approval of a Resolution supporting efforts to bring to Coppell, the Texas A&M's Texas Engineering Extension Service; encouraging all citizens within the region to endorse the project and assist in the raising of funds to construct the facility; and providing an effective date and authorizing the Mayor to sign. 10 Consider approval of an Ordinance formally adopting the mid-year budget and authorizing the Mayor to sign. 11 Consider approval of a Resolution formally adopting establishment of a policy and goal for employee compensation and authorizing the Mayor to sign. 12 Presentation and consideration of awarding of bid for Park Improvements to be constructed at Anderson Avenue and Bethel School Road park sites in the amount of $33,345.49 and authorizing execution of contract. 13 Consideration of scheduling a joint work session between the City Council and the Coppell Independent School District School Board - requested by Mayor Wolfe. CONSENT AGENDA 14A Consideration of approval of rejecting Bid #0021 for sale of water tower and authorizing the readvertisement of bids for sale of water tower. 14B Consideration for awarding of bid for lease/purchase of two (2) 1989 Four Door Sedans in the amount of $35,729.76. EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the public) ES15 Article 6252-17, Section 2 (e) discussion with City Attorney and Section 2 (f) concerning purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property regarding the Metrocrest Hospital project - requested by Councilman Morton. ES16 Article 6252-17, Senate Concurrent Resolution Number 83. a. Discussion with City Attorney concerning matter involving privileged communication between Attorney and client.
