CM 1964-07-13STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The Town Council of the town of Coppell, Texas, met in called meeting the 13th day of July, 1964, with the following members present, to wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor J. R. McDonald, Councilman B. J. Harwell, Councilman Cecil Dobecka, Councilman E. C. Gentry, City Secretary Absent: W. H. Wilson, C. T. Waters Mr. B. E. Parker presented to the Counsel a plan of procedure and estimate of cost concerning the setting up of a tax structure. Discussion followed and Mr. Parker advised that the Counsel would take his bid under advisement and notify him at a later date. Mr. Doyle Smith of Marvin Springer & Asso. appeared before the Counsel and advised them of the progress of the proposed zoning of the town. Ordinance No. 16 providing for the creation of a city planning and zoning commission was presented to the Counsel. Upon a motion made by B. J. Harwell and seconded by J. R. McDonald th.e motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Dobecka, Harwell, McDonald Noes: None Mayor Cozby called attention to the fact that the Police Car needed new tires. B. J. Harwell moved that the Counsel approve the purchase of new tires and Cecil Dobecka seconded the motion. The motion carried by the following VOte: Ayes: Dobecka, Harwell, McDonald Noes: None No further business being presented to the Council at this time B. J. Harwell moved that the meeting be adjourned. Cecil Dobecka seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. Passed and approved this 3rd day of Aug , 1964. W. T. Cozby Mayor Attest: E. C.
