TOWN OF COPPELL
The Town Council of the town of Coppell, Texas,convened in called meeting
Monday, July 20th.1964, with the following members present, to-wit;
W.T. Cozby, Mayor
J.R.McDonald Councilman
B. J. Harwell "
C.J.Dobecka "
E.C.Gentry City Secretary
Absent: W.H. Wilson, C.T. Waters
Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was the following
Mr. Bill Rush offered his written resignation as Chairman of the board of
Equalization for .the town of Coppell. Mr. C.J. Dobecka moved that the Council accept
Mr. Rush's resignation and B.J. Harwell seconded the motion. The motion carried by
the following vote;
Ayes; McDonald,Harwell, Dobecka
Noes; None
Mr. B.J. Harwell made a motion that Ordiance No. 17 be adopted appoiting Mr. Thomas
Sisk as a member of the board of equalization of the Town of Coppell,to fill the vacancy
due to Mr. Rush' s resignation, J.R. McDonald seconded the motion and the motion
carried by the following vote;
Ayes; Harwell, Dobecka, McDonald
Noes; None
Mrs W.L. Rush expressed her willingness to accept the position as Tax Collector and .~ ....
Assessor for the Town Of Coppell. C.J. Dobecka moved that Mrs.Rush be appointed Tax
Collector and Assessor at a Salary of $25.00 per monthly beginning July 2Oth.1964
J.R.McDonald seconded the motion and the motion carried by the following vote;
Ayes; Dobecka, Harwell, McDonald
Noes; None
J.R. McDonald made motion that the Town Of Coppell employ Mr.B.E. Parker as Tax
Consultant. B.J. Harwell seconded the motion and the motion carried by the following
vote;
Ayes; Harwell, Dobecka, McDonald
Noes; None
The Oath of Office was administered to Mr. Thomas Sisk and to Mrs W.L. Rush.
No further business being presented to the Council at this time and upon a motion
made, seconded, and carried, the Council adjourned.
