COUNTY OF DALLAS
The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas
met in regular meeting oh the 3rd day of August, 1964, with
the following members present, to-wit:
W. T.Cozby, Mayor
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
B. J. Harwell, Councilman
J. R. McDonald, Councilman
Cecil Dobecka, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, City Secretary
Absent: C. T. Waters
Constituting a quorum where among the other pro-
ceedings had was the following:
The minutes of the June, 29, 1964, July 6, 1964,
July 13, 1964, July 15, 1964, and July 30, 1964 Council
meetings were read and approved.
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried
that the following bills be approved for payment out of the
Town of Coppell Water Fund:
A. P. Vanbebber $852.83
A. P. Vanbebber 30.00
Bowles & Eden Supply Co. 21.44
A bill to Martin-Good Electrical Cont. for
$252.88 was delayed payment pending the presentation of a
more detailed itemized statement.
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried
that the following bills be approved for payment out of
the Town of Coppell General Fund:
Dallas Office Supply 2.61
The Irving Daily News Texan 5.67
Map and Plat Book Dept. 6.75
North Lake Inn 9.00
Coppell Superette 8.26
Helms Printing Co. 129.60
Hill Tire Co. 66.36
By a motion made, seconded, and unanimously carried
James Taylor was given a permit to build a barn in Coppell.
Mr. John Burns said that he had something he would
like to read to the Council and then he would pass it around
for their inspection. He did this and then he started
arguing over the different statement of facts that Mr. Cozby
had made through the channels of the Lewisville Leader (news-
paper). Mr. Lester Johnson also started arguing with the
Council supported by Mrs. Nellie Crouch. The discussion got
out of order and the motion was made, seconded and carried
unanimously that the Council adjourn.
