CM 1965-04-05STATE OF TEXAS v~~_~ COUNTY OF DALLAS The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, met in regular meeting of the 5th day of April, 1965, with the following members present, to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor Cecil Dobecka, Councilman Bill Harwell, Councilman W. H. Wilson, Councilman C. T. Waters, Councilman J. R. McDonald, Councilman E. C. Gentry, City Secretary Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was the following: Mr. Wallace H. Campbell of the Hersey-Sparling Meter Co., appeared before the Council and explained the mechanism and operation of his company's water meters. Mr. Cozby stated that Mr. J. C. Caspary, Jr., had requested that the Council deputize him as a police officer. After a lenghty discussion W. H. Wilson made a motion to table the matter until the Council had an opportunity to discuss this personally with Mr. Caspary. The motion was seconded by Cecil Dobecka and carried unanimously. Mr. Cozby stated that Mrs. Irene Waddill had requested a permit to install a light meter at her cafe. Mrs. Waddill stipulated that she wished her permit fee refunded when she moved. The Council unanimously agreed that they could not grant her a permit under the conditions she demanded. Mr. Wilson made a motion that the Council designate the area from Allen Rd. to the river (north of Sandy Lake Rd.) as a trailer area, and that permits be issued for this area. The motion was seconded by C. T. Waters and carried unanimously. Edwards Insurance 71.O0 Lewisville Leader 6.64 H. L. Higgins 26.25 A. P. Vanbebber 226.25 A. P. Vanbebber 9.79 Melton's Mobil Service Sta. 4.60 E. C. Gentry reported to the Council that Lone Star Gas Co. had sent a check in the amount of $291.67 in accordance with their franchise with the town. He also reported that a check had been received from Dallas County for the Fire Dept. in the amount of $2,500.00. No further business being brought before the Council at this time, upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried the meeting was adjourned. PASSED AND APPROVED this 5th day of April 1965. W. T.
