COUNTY OF DALLAS
The City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in regular
meeting on the 17th day of May, 1965, with the following members present, to-wit:

Thomas Sisk, Councilman
Bill Harwell, Councilman
Cecil Dobecka, Councilman
Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was
following:
A motion was made by C. T. Waters that W. T. Cozby be authorized and
empowered to make or contract in the name and in behalf of the City of Coppell
a public contract between the City of Coppell, Texas, and the Texas Power &
Light Co., providing for a supply of electric power for a term of ten (10)
years beginning 5-17-65. The metion was seconded by W. H. Wilson and
carried unanimously.
A motion was made by W. H. Wilson that in the absence of City
Secretary E. C. Gentry, Mrs. Suzanne Wall be appointed Acting City Secretary
for the reminder of the meeting. The motion was seconded by Bill Harwell
and carried unanimously.
A resolution was presented to the Council giving W. T. Cozby the
power to file an application to the Home and Housing Finance Agency for
the City of Coppell, Texas. A motion was made by Bill Harwell to adopt
said resolution and seconded by W. H. Wilson. The motion carried unani-
mously.
Fire Chief Trayis Maynard appeared before the Council and
requested that five firemen be sent to the Dallas County Area Firemens
Training School at Richardson, Texas. A fee of $10.00 was required.
W. H. Wilson made a motion that five firemen be sent to the School and
Cecil Dobecka seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimonsly.
C. T. Waters made a motion that the City of Coppell pay Fowler
& Graff $5,950.00 for preliminary planning. W. H. Wilson seconded the
motion and the motion carried unanimously.
No further business being presented to the Council at this time,
and upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried, the council adjourned.
