CM 1965-09-20STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The City CoUncil of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in regular meeting on the 20ieth day of September, 1965, with the following members present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor C. T. Waters, Councilman Thomas Sisk, Councilman W. H. Wilson, Councilman Cecil Dobecka, Councilman Bill Harwell, Councilman E. C. Gentry, City Secretary Constituting a quorum where among the other proceeding had was the following: Mr. Nisbitt appeared. before the Council and stated that he had been billed for a tie-on fee. The Council explained that since he planned to run the water to his home from the cabinet shop this would necessitate him paying a tie-on fee. Mr. Nisbitt agreed to pay the fee with the understanding that if he wished to build or move to another house on his property his tie on fee would already be paid and the new owner of his previous home would be subject for payment for that tie-on fee. A motion was made by W. H. Wilson to accept the deed to Lock Lane St. and the motion was seconded by Cecil Dobecka and carried unanimously. · ' A motion was made by W. H. Wilson that all purchases be approved by the Council and billed to the City. The motion was seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously. A motion was made by Bill Harwell to authorize Mayor W. T. Cozby to borrow from the Lewisville State Bank, Lewisville, Texas, the amounts of $11,654.48 for the purchase of a new fire apparatus and $2,000.00 to be used for the expansion on the Central Fire Station. The motion was seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimous ly. A motion was made by W. H. Wilson to authorize Mayor W. T. Cozby to borrow $3,059.55 for the purchase of police car, radar equipped. Motion seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously. A motion was made by Bill Harwell to pay the law firm of Saner, Jack, Sallinger & Nichols $500.00 for services rendered. The motion was seconded by W. H. Wilson and carried unanimously. The subject of the agreement concerning the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Transportation Study was again discussed and upon a motion made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Thomas Sisk, the City of Coppell entered into the agreement, and the motion carried unanimously. No further business being presented to the Council at this time and upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Council adjourned. PASSED AND APPROVED, this 20 day of Sept 1965.. ~ , W. T.
