COUNTY OF DALLAS
The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in regular meeting on the
16th day of January, 1967, with the following members present to-wit:
W. T. Cozby, Mayor
C. L. Plumlee, Councilman
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, Secretary
B. J. Harwell, Councilman
constituting a quorum, where among other proceedings had was the following:
Mayor Cozby introduced a resolution which was read in full. Alderman
Harwell made a motion that any ruling requiring resolutions to be read at more
than one meeting be suspended. Seconded by C. J. Dobecka and vote carried.
Alderman Wilson made a motion that the said resolution (tract #2 & #3)
be finally passed and adopted. Seconded by C. J. Dobecka. (see copy attached)

This agreement is executed by and between the City of
Carrollton, Texas, and the City of Coppell, Texas;
WITNESSETH:
1. The parties agree that under the provisions of the
Municipal Annexation Act, the City of Carrollton, Texas, has
extraterritorial jurisdiction within one (1) mile of its
corporate limits, and the City of Coppell, Texas, has extra-
territorial jurisdiction within one-half (1/2) mile of its
corporate limits.
2. The parties agree that there exists an overlap area
of extraterritorial jurisdiction in. each of said cities, as
that jurisdiction is defined in the Municipal Annexation Act,
which area of extraterritorial jurisdiction is more particu-
larly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the west corporate limit
line of the City of Carrollton, said point also
being an el corner in the corporate limit line
of Coppell, Texas, said point also being in the
northeast Right of Way line of Sandy Lake Road,
(Old US Highway 77);
THENCE in a northwesterly direction, following
along the present corporate limit line of Coppell,
Texas, and the northeast Right of Way line of
Sandy Lake Road to a point for corner, said point
being in the south property line of the W. 0.
Corbin 94.63-acre tract;
THENCE easterly, following along the south property
line of the W. O. Corbin 94.63-acre tract and the
present corporate limit line of Coppell, Texas, to
a point for corner, said point being the southeast
property corner of the W. O. Corbin 94.63-acre
tract, said point also being in the present corpo-
rate limit line of the City of Carrollton, Texas~
THENCE in a southerly, easterly, southerly, south-
westerly direction, and at all times following along.
the present corporate limit line of the City of
Carrollton, to the place of beginning.

3. From and after the date/ this agreement is approved
and adopted by the governing bodies of both the cities which
are parties hereto, there is apportioned to the City of Car-
rollton, Texas, and it shall have exclusive extraterritorial
jurisdiction over all of the territory described in the second
paragraph of this agreement.
4. This agreement shall be executed in duplicate,
either copy of which shall be considered to be an original
copyby the authorized representative of each City which
is a party hereto, attestedby the City Secretary and under
the corporate seal of each said City..
5. This agreement shall become effective upon ratifi-
cation and approval by the governing bodies of both of the
Cities which are parties hereto.

Coppell, Texas,, to a point for corner, said point being ap-
proximately 1000' east of the center line of DeForest Road
THENCE northerly 1000' east of and parallel to the center
line of DeForest Road to a point for corner, said point being
" in the South Right of Way line of a county road running in
an easterly and westerly. direCtion
THENCE westerly 1000', crossing DeForest and. continuing in a
westerly direction to a point for corner, said point being
5280' west of the present corporate limit line of the city of
Carrollton, Texas
THENCE northerly to a~ point for corner, said point being 5280'
north of the north corporate limit line of Carrollton, Texas
if projected in a Wgsterly direction
THENCE easterly 5280' north of and parallel to the north
corporate limit line of Carrollton, Texas to a point for cor-
ner in.the east bank of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River,
said point also being the west corporate limit line of Hobton,
Texas
THENCE in a generally southerly, southwesterly and southeasterly
direction, at all tithes following the east bank of the Elm.
i Fork of the Trinity River and the present corporate l~mit line
of Hebron, Texas, to a point for corner, said point being in
the north Corporate limit line of Carrollton, Texas
THENCE in a westerly and southerly direction and a~ all times
following the present corporate limit line of Carrollto~, Texas,
to the Point of beginning.
3. From and after the date hereof, this agreement is
approved and adopted by the governing bodies of both the
cities which are parties hereto, there is approtioned to
the City of Carrollton, Texas, and it shall have exclusive
