OR 89-445 Regulating City Council meetings AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. 89445 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COPPELL BY AMENDING SECTION 1-10-4.1 REGULATING REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS; REPEALING ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. AMENDING SECTION 1-10-4.1 OF CHAPTER 1 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES Chapter 1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell is hereby amended by amending Section 1-10-4.1 to read as follows: Section 1-I0-4.1 Regular Meetings. The Council shall meet in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. o'clock for executiva session and 7:00 p.m. o'clock for open session unless otherwise officially changed by the City Council (Charter Article 3, Section 3.09). SECTION 2. REPEALING CLAUSE All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 1-10-4.1 of Ordinance No. 87377 is specifically repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE If any article, paragraph or subdivision, clause of provision of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof, other than the part so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect innnediately from and after passage as the law in such cases provides.
