City Council Minutes July 9,2020
Mayor Hunt advised no one signed up to speak.
II. Consider a Resolution extending a Mayoral Declaration of a State of
Emergency as a result of the COVID-19 virus; and, providing for interim
public safety measures; and providing an effective date; and authorizing
the Mayor to sign.
Presentation: City Manager Mike Land updated the City Council on the most
recent modifications to Governor Abbott's Declaration of Emergency.
A motion was made by Councilmember Mays,seconded by Councilmember
Mathew,that Resolution No.2020-0709.1 be approved.The motion carried by
the following vote:
Aye: 6- Councilmember Cliff Long;Councilmember Wes Mays;Councilmember Gary
Roden;Councilmember Nancy Yingling;Councilmember Biju Mathew and
Mayor Pro Tem Mark Hill
