May 15, 1967, the Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in regular
meeting with the following members present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
C. L. Plumlee, Jr., Councilman
Jim McGiboney, Councilman
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
Mr. Joe Glover, representative for Lone Star Gas Company, met with the
Council to present a plan concerning rates to natural gas users within
the city limits of Coppell. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson m d seconded
by Jim McGiboney that the plan be adopted as outlined. (see copy attached)
Vote carried unanimously.
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson, seconded by C. J. Dobecka, and carried
by unanimous vote that the names of all persons who are no longer re-
sidents of the city be deleted from the delinquent personal property tax
roll.
Motion was made by Jim McGiboney that a letter, with a copy of Ordinance
#31 attached, be sent to anyone moving a house trailer into the city
limits to inform them of the action of the Council in this matter.
Motion was seconded by W. H. Wilson and unanimously carried.
Motion was made by Jim McGiboney and seconded by C. J. Dobecka that the
Lewisville State Bank be designated as depository for the City of Coppell
for a period of two years. Vote carried unanimously.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETEEMINXNG THE GENERAL SERVICE RATE
TO BE CHARGED FOR SALES OF NATURAL GAS TO RESIDENTIAL AND
COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS OF COPPELL,
DALLAS CONTY, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH
SUCH RATE MAY BE CHANGED, ADJSTED AND AMENDED AND DECLAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF COPPELL:

Compem~, a Texas corporation, its successors and assigns, is hereb~
f~xed and deterained as follows =
First 800 cu. ft. or fraction thereof $1.760 gross; $1.~8~ net
Next 1,2OO cuo ft. @ $1.~ per MCF gross; $1o33~ per MEF net
Next 3,000 cu. ft. e °927 per MCF gross5 .83~ per MCF net
Next 20,000 cu. ft. e .6~9 per MCF gross; .~8~ per MCF net
Over 2~,000 cuo ft. @ °~93 per MCF gross; o~3~ per MCF net
No gas bill will be rendered to any residential or commercial consumer
sex-~ed under the above rate not consuming any gas during any monthly
billing period.
The amount of each net monthly bill computed at the above
stated rates shall be subject to the following adjustment: Plus an
amount equivalent to the prol~3~ionate part of an~ new tax, or in-
creased tax, or an~ other ~overnmental ~ition, rental, fee or
charge (except state, county, city and e!~cial district ad valorera
taxes and taxes on net income) levied, assessed or imposed subse~luent
to January 1, 1966, upon or allotable to the Company's distrAb~ution
operations, by any new or amended law, ordinance or contract. Each
gross monthl~ bill shall be adjusted proportionsrelic Com_spany, at its
option, may forego the al~plication of this adJustment~ however, fail-
ure of Company to apply such adjustment sh~!] not constitute a waiver
of Company's right from time to time, or at any time, to make such
a~Ju~tment, in whole or in ~art, in any subsequent current monthl~
bill that may be applicable to such bill.
Net rate shall apply to all bills paid within ten days from
monthly billing date.
