The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in regular
meeting with the following members present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
C. L. Plumlee, Jr., Councilman
Jim McGiboney, Councilman
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, Councilman
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Thomas Sisk that
the Petty Cash Fund be replinished to the sum of $23.19. Vote
carr&ed unanimously.
Request by Mr. York for a permit to place a mobile home on his
lot on Cotton Road was denied. Vote carried with 1 voting for
and 3 against.
Mr. Pete Stiner with Fowler & Grafe Engineering Firm met with the
Council to discuss latest develo~nts on the water and sewage
bond program. Mr. Stiner explained that the work was divided in*D
three phases and bids were accepted as: Contract #1 - water well
Contract #2 - sewage treatment plant, pump station, and
water pump plant
Contract #3 - sewage collection system and water
system
It was recommended that the City accept the low bids of J. L.
Myers & Sons, Dallas; (Contract #1) H. F. Allison & Company, Dallas;
(Contract ~2) and Tex-Con Utilities, Garland; (Contract #3).
Motion was made by Thomas Sisk and seconded by C. J. Dobecka that
the recommendation be accepted with Mayor Cozby authorized to
sign and complete these contract with stated companies. Vote
arried unanimously. Motion was made that Mayor Cozby be
authorized to negotiate for both easements and site of sewage
and water plant. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson, seconded
by Jim McGihoney, and carried unanimously.
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson to pay Tex Contractors $40.00
for advertising for proposals for construction of Contract #1,
#2, and #3 of the water bond program. Motion was seconded by
Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously.
