The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in special called
meeting September 11, 1967, with the following members present
to-wit:
W. T. Cozby, Mayor
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
Jim McGiboney, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, Secretary
where the following business was transacted:
Mayor Cozby informed the Council that the Budget for 1967-68
had been filed and a public hearing date must be set.
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Thomas Sisk
that a budget hearing be set for September 28, 1967, 7:30 PM,
City Hall, Coppell, Texas. Vote carried unanimously.
The budget was discussed at length and meeting adjourned.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Coppell, Texas,
has heretofore on the 11th day of September 1967,
filed with the City Secretary a General Budget for the City
of Coppell, Texas, covering the fiscal year October 1, 1967,
through September 30, 1967; and,
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Coppell,
Texas, desires to provide for a public hearing on such budget;
and,
WHEREAS, the following resolution was submitted to
the governing body of the City of Coppe!l, Texas, for its con-
sideration, NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Coppell,
Texas, finds that the Mayor has filed on the 11th day of
September, 1967 with the City Secretary, a General
Budget for the City of Coppell, Texas, for the fiscal year
October 1, 1967 through September 30, 1968.
Section 2. That in order to provide for a public
hearing on such budget, the City Council of the City of Coppell,
Texas, hereby declares that said hearing shall take place on
the 28th day of September , 1967, at 7:30 o'clock,
M. The place of said hearing will De the City Hall in
Coppell, Texas.
Section 3. That public notice of the hour, date and
place of such hearing shall be made public by posting a copy of
this resolution in three public places in the City, one of which
shall be the City Hall, and the publication of this resolution
in one issue of the official newspaper.
DULY PASSED at a special meeting of the City Council
of the City of Coppell, Texas, on the 11th day of September ,
1967, with C. J. Dobecka , Jim McGiboney, Thomas Sisk ,
and W. H. Wilson voting for such
resolution and none voting against such resolution.
