CM 1968-06-17 TATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met June 17, 1968, in regular meeting with the following member present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor Jim McGiboney, Councilman C. L. Plumlee, Jr., Councilman John Dobecka, Councilman Thomas Sisk, Councilman W. H. Wilson, Councilman E. C. Gentry, Secretary constituting a quorum where among other proceedings had was the following: Motion was made by W. H. Wilson to accept the petition annexing the 53 acre tract owned by the Coppell Independent School District as submitted by S. P. Lesley. Seconded by Jim McGiboney, vote carried unanimously. W. H. Wilson made a motion to pass Ordinance #44 making the above described area annexed city property. Thomas Sisk seconded, and vote carried unanimously. A. W. Dobecka, L. G. Molck and Mrs. C. T. Waters were appointed to serve on the City Equalization Board by Jim McGiboney. Second came from C. L. Plumlee, Jr. and vote was unanimous. Motion was made to authorize A. P. Vanbebber to buy a "valve finder" for approximately $35.00 and a used Model B tapping machine, not to exceed $300.00. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Jim McGiboney, carrying unanimously. I~otion was made by W. H. Wilson that water be made available to property owners outside the city limits, who live on the opposite side of the road of the existing water main. A tapping fee will be $125.00 and an additional $1.00 added to the regular water rates. Second by John Dobecka, vote ~arrying unanimously. meeting adjourned.
