COUNTY OF DALLAS
The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met December 16, 1968,
-in regular session. Those present were: W. T. Cozby, Mayor
Jim McGiboney, Councilman
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
John Dobecka, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, Secretary
constituting a quorum, where among other proceedings had was the
following:
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Jim McGiboney to
request the Texas Power & Light Company to install a street light
(#295) on the corner of State and Thweatt roads. Vote carried
unanimously.
Motion was made to support the Dallas County Master Thoroughfare
Plane. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Jim McGiboney.
Motion carried.
Request was presented from C. R. Story for two shirts and e~e pair
of pants needed to complete his uniform as policeman. W. H. Wilson
made a motion that the request be granted and seconded by John
Dobecka. Vote carried unanimously.
Motion was made by W. H. Wilson to adopt the following specifications
for sewer connection:
1. The home owner is responsible for the total cost of connecting
the line from the house to the sewer main.
2. The line must be not less than 3" plastic (1,000 pound crush,
JT685B or better) or cast iron. Line saddles will be used with
sufficient concrete to asure a satisfactory job and a well supported
saddle. No 90 degree bends will be premitted. Two 45 degree bends
will be used instead where necessary.
3. The line must be sealed at the stub-out.
4. There will be a minimum fall of 8" per 1Q0 feet.
5. Where necessary to bring the pipe up from the main line, it
shall not come closer to the surface of the street than 4 feet.
· 6. If clean-out is provided, it will be at additional cost of
the line.
7. The contractor does agree to do all necessary backfilling,
etc. of the street area to the city specifications.
8. All work must be inspected and passed by the city inspector
before any part is covered up.
Motion was seconded by Jim McGiboney and vote carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Jim McGiboney to replenish the petty cash fund
to the amount of $24,80, pay $1,803.45 to the law office of Dumas,
Huguenin ad Boothman, and $4,787.50 to First Southwest Company.
Seconded by John Dobecka, vote carried unanimously.
