CM 1969-07-21 OUNTY OF DALLAS STATE OF TEXAS The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas met in regular session July 21, 1969, with the following members present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor Thomas Sisk, Councilman Jim McGiboney, Councilman W. H. Wilson, Councilman John Dobecka, Councilman E. C. Gentry, Councilman Where the following business was transacted: Motion was made by Jim McGiboney, seconded by John Dobecka, that the City Engineer, Mr. Styner, represent the City of Coppell at the North Texas Council of Government meeting on the drainage problems of this area. Vote was unanimous. Motion was made and' seconded that Mayor Cozby represent the City of Coppell at meetings with the Greater Northwest Chamber of Commerce and TRA Floor Control Board. Vote carried unanimously. Request was submitted for a special use permit for a mobile home at a service station site on Belt Line Road. Matter had been tabled. from last meeting. Request submitted by Tom Brennan was denied un- animously. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson that the City sign the Urban Planning Contract with the North Texas Council of Government and the City of Coppell, with Marvin Springer and Associates as consultants. Second- ed by Thomas Sisk, motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson to appoint Troy Gildewell, Curtis Jones, Clinton Russell, and Gerald Jonas as the committee to head up the Kay Street Improvement Fund Seconded by McGiboney, vote was unanimous~ - J. C. Thweatt appeared before the Council withEl his copy of Ordinance 43-1A. Mr. Thweatt ztated he would not comply with the ordinance and further that he did not wish to participate in the sewer plan with Mr. Wilson and Mr. Pinnell, as previously discussed before the Council. Motion was made to give A. P. Vanbebber authority to act in his legal capacity as Water Superintendent in carrying out the specifications of the water department. This includes no plastic lines in the streets and no tie-ons without approval and inspection of the Council. Motion by W.H. Wilson was seconded by John Dobecka and carried unanimously.
