CM 1971-03-15COUNTY OF DALLAS STATE OF TEXAS The Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, met in regular session March 15, 1971,wlth the following members present to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor Johnny Dobecka, Councilman Jim McGiboney, Councilman Wheelice Wilson, Councilman Bill Harwell, Councilman Ted Ruppell, Councilman constituting a quorum, where among other proceedings had was the following: The minutes of March l, 1971 were read and the following amend was made Mrs. McMaghon wanted to build two houses on one lot, not move them there, however the lot she wanted to build them on was too small for two houses. The minutes were them approved. A motion was made by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Ruppell, and carried 5-0 Item 1 Mr. Gentry appeared before the council presenting a report of examination for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1970- Thc council reviewed the report and found it to be satisfactory work except for a question on the amount figured on the tie on fees. Also Mr. Gentry suggested that one of his men come to the council meetings to answer any questions the council may have. Item 2 Mr. S. P. Lesley requested a street light,The council felt that the best position for the light would be on the pole between Mrs. Sally Brooks, and Mr. Lesleys. And also, that a 295 watt light would serve the pur- pose. Mr. McGiboney made a motion to accept the light at the said point mentioned above. Mr. Harwell seconded the motion, and it was carried 5-0 . Item 3 ~ Mr. Harwell made a motion to replenish the petty cash fund for $24.95- Mr. Dobecka seconded the motion and it carried 5-0. Item 4 M ouncil discussed plans for an office for the new city The ayor and c manager, Mr. G. A. Moore. The final decision was for the police office to be used as his office, and also that a door be made between the police office and the council meeting room. The meeting was adjourned.
