Also present were City Secretary Ashley Owens and City Attorney Robert Hager.
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in a Special Called Session on Tuesday,
November 15, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255
Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas.
Call to Order1.
Mayor Wes Mays called the meeting to order, determined that a quorum was
present and convened the meeting at 8:00 a.m. He explained that for the
purpose of this meeting, only two Council members are required for a quorum
in accordance with Texas Election laws.
2.Consider approval of a Resolution canvassing the returns and declaring
the results of the November 8, 2022, Special Election; and authorizing
the Mayor to sign.
City Attorney Robert Hager read the Resolution into the record.
A motion was made by Councilmember Kevin Nevels, seconded by
Councilmember Don Carroll, that this Resolution be approved. The motion
passed by an unanimous vote.
