Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. Also present were City Manager Mike Land, City Secretary Ashley Owens, Police Chief Danny Barton, Finance Director Kim Tiehen, and Budget Officer Tamara Smith. Call to Order1. A quorum was present at 5:32 p.m., President John Jun called the meeting to order. Citizens’ Appearance2. President John Jun advised that no one signed up to speak for Citizens' Appearance. 3.Introduction and History Presentation: Tamara Smith, Budget Officer, made a presentation to the Crime Control and Prevention Board. A motion was made by Board member Kevin Nevels, seconded by Board member Biju Mathew, that this Agenda Item be approved. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. Review of the Crime Control Prevention District budget for FY 2022-2023. Presentation: Tamara Smith, Budget Officer, made a presentation to the Crime Control and Prevention Board. PUBLIC HEARING: A public hearing on the FY 2022-2023 Proposed Budget for the Crime Control and Prevention District. President John Jun opened the Public Hearing and advised that no one signed up to speak. A motion was made by Board member Kevin Nevels, seconded by Board member Brianna Hinojosa-Smith, to close the Public Hearing. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. Adoption of the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget for the Crime Control and Prevention District. A motion was made by Board member Kevin Nevels, seconded by Board member Mark Hill, that this Agenda item be approved. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. Review of the budget calendar for the Crime Control and Prevention District. Presentation: Tamara Smith, Budget Officer, made a presentation to the Crime Control and Prevention Board. Consider election of President and Vice President. A motion was made by Board member Don Carroll, seconded by Board member Mark Hill, to nominate Kevin Nevels as President. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. A motion was made by Board member Kevin Nevels, seconded by Board member Brianna Hinojosa-Smith, to nominate Don Carroll as Vice President. The motion passed by an unanimous vote.
