from the Council Minutes of October 3, 1966:
MAYOR COZBY then introduced a proposed ordinance authorizing
the issuance of general obligation bonds of said City, which was
read in full. Alderman ~~,~ made a motion that any
rule requiring ordinances to be read at more ~
than one
suspended. The motion was seconded by Alderman
and carried by the foll~ing vote:
AYES: Aldermen Plumlee, Dobecka, Sisk, Wilson, and liarwell.
NOES.: None.
The Mayor 'announced that the ordinance ~d been finally
passed and adopted.
The caption of the ORDINANCE is as follows:
"AN ORDINANCE by the City Council of the City of
Coppell, Texas, authorizing the issuance of
$95,000 'CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, WATER AND
SEWER SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1966, ' dated Ma~ 1,
1966, for the following purposes, to-wit: $48,000
for the purpose of constructing improvements and
extensions to the City's Waterworks System, and
$47,000 for the purpose of constructing or purchas-
ing, improving and extending a Sanitary Sewer Sys-
tem in and for said City; and authorizing the issuance
of $ 5,000 ' CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, WATER AND SEWER
SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1966-A,' dated May 1, 1966,
for the following purposes, to-wit: $2,000 for the
purpose of constructing improvements and extensions
to the City's Waterworks System,and $3,000 for the
purpose of constructing or purchasing, improving and
extending a Sanitary Sewer System in and for said City;
prescribing the form of the bonds and the form of the
interest coupons; levying a continuing direct annual
ad valorera tax on all taxable property within the limits
of said City to pay the interest on said bonds and
to create a sinking fund for the redemption thereof
and providing for the assessment and collection of
such taxes; enacting provisions incident and related
to the purpose and subject of 'this ordinance; and de-
claring an emergency.
The MINLTEES approved and adopted this the 3rd day of
October., 1966.
