RE 03-29-65.1032965.1 WHEREAS, under and by virtue of a resolution and order duly passed by the City Council of the City of Coppell, on the 1st day of March, 1965, an election was held in said City on the 27th day of March, 1965, on four propositions for the issuance of the bonds of the City of Coppell, Texas, in the following amounts and for the following purposes, to-wit ". $150,000 revenue bonds for the purpose of constructing improvements and extensions to the City's Waterworks System; $195,000 revenue bonds for the purpose of constructing or purchasing~ improving and extending a Sanitary Sewer System in and' for said City; $ 50,000 general obligation bonds for the purpose of constructing improvements and extensions to the City's Waterworks System; and $ 50,000 general obligation bonds for the purpose of constructing or purchasing, improving and extending a Sanitary Sewer System in and for said City; and .~ WHEREAS, on ~his the ~'~ day of ~'~-,~ , 1965, same being a /J,~~ session of the City Council, there came on to be consid~ed the Ireturns of said election; and WHEREAS, upon consideration of the returns Of said elec- tion, it appears that the same was in all respects legally held, after due notice had been given, and that the said returns were duly and legally made; and WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that on Proposition Number 1, being "THE ISSUANCE OF $150,000 WATERWORKS SYSTEM REVE~UE BONUS", /~Ff votes were cast for the proposition and //~ votes were c~st against the proposition; and WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that on Proposition Number 2 being "THE ISSUANCE OF $195,000 SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS", /~/ votes were cast for the proposition and /~ ~ votes were cast against the proposition; and WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that on Proposition Number 3, being "THE ISSUANCE. OF $50,000 GENERAL ' OBLIGATION WATERWORKS SYSTEM BONUS", /~ votes were cast for the proposition and /~=,~' votes were cast against the propo- sition; and WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that on Proposition Number 4 being "THE ISSUANCE OF $50,000 GENERAL OBLI- GATION SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM BONDS", /~1 votes were cast for the proposition and/,~/votes were Cast against the proposition, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY--COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1: That the aforesaid election was duly and leg- ally called and notice thereof given in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the resolution and order calling said elec- tion; that said election was held in strict conformity with the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and the returns thereof have been properly made to the officials of the City entitled to receive same; that only resident qualified property taxpaying electors of the said City of Coppell, Texas, who owned taxable property therein, and who. had duly rendered the same for taxation, were permitted to vote at said election; and further, that said election properly represents the desires of those qualified to vote as aforesaid. SEqTION 2: That the proposition to issue the $150,000 revenue bonds for the purpose of constructing improvements and extensions to the City's Waterworks System was sustained by a majority of the resident qualified electors of said City, voting at said election, who own taxable property in said City and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council of said City is authorized to issue said bonds and to provide for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds in the time and manner prescribed by law. SECTION ~: That the proposition to issue the $195,000 revenue bonds for the purpose of constructing or purchasing, improving and extending a Sanitary Sewer System in and for said City was sustained by a majority of the resident qualified elec- tors of said City, voting at said election, who own taxable property in said City, 8nd who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council of said City is authorized to issue said bonds and to provide for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds in the time and manner prescribed by law. SECTION 4: That the proposition to issue $50,000 general obligation bonds for the purpose of constructing improvements and extensions to the City's Waterworks System was sustained by a majority of the resident qualified electors of said City, voting at said election, who own taxed le property in said City and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council of said City is authorized to issue said bonds and to levy and have assessed and collected taxes for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds in the time and manner prescribed by law. SECTION 5: That the proposition to issue $50,000 general obligation bonds for the purpose of constructing or purchasing, improving and extending a Sanitary Sewer System in and for said City, was sustained by a majority of the resident qualified elec- tors of said City; voting at said election, who own taxable property in said City, and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council of said City is authorized to issue said bonds and to levy and have assessed and collected taxes for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds in the time and manner prescribed by law. The bove resolution having been read~J~was moved by Alderman.~o~°~ and seconded by Alderman .. .... .. that the same be passed and adopted. Thereupon, the Mayor put tH~ motion to a vote of the members of the City Council and the following members voted "AYE": Aldermen~ Wilson, Hatwell, ~====m_ and Dobecka; and none voted "NO".'
