BM 2000-05-18 KCB Keep Coppell Beautiful
Minutes of May 18, 2000
The Keep Coppell Beautiful Committee met on May 18, 2000 at 7pm in the second floor
conference room at Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following
members were present; Ray Foster, Julia Petty, co chairman, and Pat Lambert. Amanda
Vanhoozier, City of Coppell, liaison was also present. Members not present were: Steve
Mobley, Barbara Piels, Richard Murphy and Diana Sircar.
Item one: Call to Order - Julia Petty called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm.
Item two: Approval of Minutes Julia Petty accepted Minutes of April 20, 2000 with no other
questions.
Item three: Citizen's Forum - There were no citizens present.
Item four: Adopt-a-Location Status and Action- Ray Foster will complete the CHS
Cheerleaders application with faculty approval. MOMS Club will be assigned Sandy Lake Rd.
between Hwy 121 and N. Coppell Rd.
Item five: CLEAN CITIES 2000 Status and Review- Julia Petty presented the 5 options from
Steve Mobley's report on HHW collection options for the City of Coppell. The committee
discussed the third party collection might be the best option at one or new times a year.
Under the education component, the committee discussed a subcommittee of recycling contacts
from each school to be called the Green Team. The idea was to funnel information about
curriculum, grants, and projects to the schools.
Item six: New Business to be placed on next meeting's agenda- There was no new business.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45pm.
