CM 2000-08-15 MINUTES OF AUGUST 15, 2000 The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Emergency Session on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at 11:45 a.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following members were present: Candy Sheehan, Mayor Larry Wheeler, Mayor Pro Tem Jayne Peters, Councilmember Pat Keenan, Councilmember Marsha Tunnell, Councilmember Bill York, Councilmember Councilmembers Garcia and Stover were absent from the meeting. Also present were City Manager Jim Wilt and City Secretary Libby Ball. SPECIAL SESSION (Open to the Public) 1. Call to order. Mayor Sheehan called the meeting to order. 2. Consider declaring an Emergency State and implementing Phase II of the Daily Water Conservation Plan as set out in Chapter 3, Section 3-1-12 (B) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell. Presentations: Jim Witt, City Manager, and Ken Griffin, Director of Engineering and Public Works, made presentations to Council. Action: Councilmember York moved to approve Resolution No. 2000-0815.1 declaring an Emergency State and implementing Phase II of the Daily Water Conservation Plan as set out in Chapter 3, Section 3-1-12 (B) of CM08152000 Page 1 of 2 the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell, effective immediately. Councilmember Peters seconded the motion; the motion carried 5-0 with Mayor Pro Tem Wheeler and Councilmembers Peters, Keenan, Tunnell and York voting in favor of the motion.
