Notice is hereby given that the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell,
Texas,will met in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 6:30 pm at 255 E. Parkway
Boulevard.
As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more
appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using
videoconferencing technology.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:

1. Call To Order
Chair Paschal called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

2. Citizens'Appearance
Phil Laberge,858 Dalmalley Lane,expressed his concerns in regards to the
proposed Veterans Memorial concept.
Nilesh Bhaigade,2323 Wilshire Dr.,expressed his interest in the ability to
reserve the new cricket field.
This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Board or Commission on
any matter.Anyone wishing to address the Board or Commission should register prior to the
start of the meeting. There is a two (2) minute time limit for each citizen to speak, additional
time may be granted by the Board or Commission.
The Board or Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker
during Citizens'Appearance.
3. Approval of Minutes: March 6, 2023
A motion was made by Boardmember Bryan,seconded by Boardmember
Roller,that this agenda item be approved.The motion carried by a unanimous
vote.
4. Discussion regarding Veterans Memorial conceptual designs.
Samit Patel of Olson Studios presented two concepts to the Board. After
review and discussion,the Board recommended to proceed with option 2.
5. Presentation by the Biodiversity Education Center staff.
Calie Willis,Jonathon Ward,and Cynthia Contreras gave a presentation in
regards to the current and upcoming activities at the Biodiversity Education
Center.
6. Youth Advisor's Report
Youth Advisors not in attendance.
7. Director's update regarding upcoming events, projects, and departmental
developments
Jessica Carpenter gave an update regarding upcoming events,project status
and departmental activities.
8. Discussion regarding future agenda items.
Chair Paschal advised that there are no items at this time.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation
Board,the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
