Notice is hereby given that the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell,
Texas,will meet in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 6:30pm at 255 E. Parkway
Boulevard.
As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more
appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using
videoconferencing technology.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider the following items:

1. Call To Order
Chair Paschal called the meeting order at 6:30 pm.

2. Citizen's Appearance
Todd Storch,739 Hammond,expressed his interest in additional pickleball
courts.
David Wheatcroft,400 Villawood Circle,expressed his interest in additional
pickleball courts.
Dr.Jack Henderson,617 Pheasant Lane,expressed his interest in the Senior
Center expansion and concerns in regards to a need for a new laptop for
games.
George Piroumoff,721 E.Beltline Road,thanked the Board and Community
Experiences staff for reinstating pickleball at The CORE and expressed his
interest for additional indoor pickleball courts.
This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Board or Commission on
any matter.Anyone wishing to address the Board or Commission should register prior to the
start of the meeting.There is a two (2) minute time limit for each citizen to speak, additional
time may be granted by the Board or Commission.
The Board or Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker
during Citizens'Appearance.
3. Annual update by the Coppell Youth Soccer Association
Angela Lancaster gave a presentation in regards to the Coppell Soccer
Associations registration numbers,field usage concerns,and up coming
activities.
4. Approval of minutes: May 1, 2023
A motion was made by Boardmember Roller,seconded by Boardmember
•
Arnold,that this agenda item be approved.The motion carried by a unanimous
vote.
5. Presentation by the Community Engagement Division.
Tiffany Anderson,Community Engagement Manager,introduced the division
and staff members.Marissa Olivas,Community Programs Coordinator,gave a
presentation on the Coppell Farmers Market,Coppell Community Gardens and
Keep Coppell Beautiful. Presleigh Easton,Communications Specialist,gave a
presentation in regards to the marketing initiatives. Tiffany Anderson finished
the presentation with information in regards to special events.
6. Presentation and discussion regarding the Project Priority List
The Board reviewed the projects listed on the project priority list. The Board
will review and prioritize the projects on the list on the August meeting.

7. Youth Advisor's Report
Youth Advisor Enaika Kishnani reported that she is going to miss the July 4th
parade and is excited to see the fence around the soccer fields at Wagon
Wheel Park go up.
8. Director's update regarding upcoming events, projects, and departmental
developments
Jessica Carpenter gave an update regarding upcoming events, project status
and departmental initiatives.
9. Discussion regarding future agenda items.
No items at this time.

There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation
Board,the meeting was adjourned at 8:34 pm.
