Notice is hereby given that the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell,
Texas, met in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 6:30 pm at 255 E. Parkway Boulevard.
As authorized by Section 551.127,of the Texas Government Code, one or more
appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using
videoconferencing technology.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:

1. Call To Order
Chair Paschal called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

2. Citizens'Appearance
Candy Sheehan,321 Quiet Valley,expressed her interest for additional
pickleball courts.
Barb Schmidt,622 Pheasant,expressed her interest for additional pickleball
courts.
Jackie Oliver,629 Swan,expressed her interest for additional pickleball courts.
George Piroumoff,1321 E.Beltline Road,expressed his interest for additional
outdoor/indoor pickleball courts.
Chris Kodak,261 Suzanne,expressed her interest for more indoor pickleball
courts.
Susan Truxal,347 Pecan Hollow,expressed her interest for additional
outdoor/indoor pickleball courts.
Bruce Wilcox,610 Hawk Lane,expressed his interest for additional tennis
courts.
Hilary Hodgson,418 Copperstone,expressed her concerns in regards to the
spectator shade structures at Andrew Brown West.
Lisa Verret,343 Pecan Hollow,expressed her interest for additional pickleball
courts.
Jeannie Buchanan,340 Park Valley Dr.,expressed her interest for additional
pickleball courts.
Marcy McGredy,623 Meadowview,expressed her concerns in regards to the
hours of the pickleball courts.
This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Board or Commission on
any matter.Anyone wishing to address the Board or Commission should register prior to the
start of the meeting. There is a two (2) minute time limit for each citizen to speak, additional
time may be granted by the Board or Commission.
The Board or Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker
during Citizens'Appearance.
3. Consider approval of minutes: June 5, 2023
A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran,seconded by Boardmember
Arnold,that this agenda item be approved.The motion carried by a unanimous
vote.
4. Discussion regarding Project Priority List
The board discussed the projects listed on the Project Priority List.This item
will be brought back next meeting for approval.
5. Presentation and discussion regarding Veterans Memorial
Samit Patel of Olsson Studio gave a presentation in regards to the Veterans
Memorial.

6. Youth Advisor's Report
Nothing to report.
7. Director's update regarding upcoming events, projects, and departmental
Developments.
Jessica Carpenter gave an update regarding upcoming events,project status
and departmental initiatives.
8. Discussion regarding future agenda items.
No items at this time.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation
Board,the meeting was adjourned at 8:37 pm.
