Notice is hereby given that the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Coppell,
Texas, met in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 255 E. Parkway Boulevard.
As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code,one or more
appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using
videoconferencing technology.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items:

1. Call To Order
Chair Guignon called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

2. Citizens'Forum
Lynn Houm,296 Dogwood Trail,expressed her concerns with limited tennis
courts space due to the increase in pickleball.
3. Consider approval of minutes: August 1, 2022
A motion was made by Boardmember Bryan,seconded by Boardmember
Corcoran,that this agenda item be approved.The motion carried by a
unanimous vote.
4. CRDC Financial Update-Kim Tiehen, Director of Finance
Director of Finance Kim Tiehen gave an update on the current financial status
of the CRDC fund.
5. Discussion regarding the Six Questions Exercise
The Board discussed the six questions and completed the Six Questions
Exercise.
6. Presentation related to the design plans for Moore Road and Magnolia Park Trails
Adam Richter,Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation,gave an update on
the Moore Road Trail and Magnolia Park Trail projects.
7. Update regarding Bird City Texas-Margaret Bryan
Boardmember Margaret Bryan informed the Board of what Bird City Texas is
and the possible benefits to the City of Coppell by becoming part of the
program.
8. Manager's Update-Gary Decker, Cemetery Manager
Gary Decker,Cemetery Manager,gave an update on current and future
activities at the Rolling Oaks Memorial Center.
9. Youth Advisor's Report
Youth Advisor Rythm Khandelwal expressed her concerns for compact parking
lots and trash in the parks.
10. Director's Report
Director Jessica Carpenter update the Board on up coming events and current
projects.

There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation
Board,the meeting was adjourned 8:41 pm.
