WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company has heretofore, on May 25, 1984, filed with the City Secretary a Statement of Intent and Petition for authority to change rates for gas service provided by it within the corporate limits of the City, which rates are to become effective June 30, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that there is a necessity to consider the large amount of data in connection with the request and there is a necessity for a public hearing thereon prior to final determination of the rate request, and consequently that the operation and effective date of the proposed schedule of rates should be suspended to allow sufficient time for the Council to deliberate upon the rate request; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1.
