Notice is hereby given that the Library Advisory Board of the City of Coppell, Texas,
met in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of Town Center at 255 E. Parkway Boulevard at
7:00 p.m.
Regular Session (Open to the Public)
1. Call to Order
‘The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Library Board Chair Carla
Madrigal.
Also present were Library Board Members Anne Diamond, Martha Garber, Seth
L. Phillips, Haridas Radhakrishnan, Radhika Rajgopal Singh; Alternate Board
Members Elizabeth Mink and Manisha N. Pagedar; and Youth Advisors Ananya
Gogula and Malya A. Krishna.
Board Member Frank Gasparro was absent.
Staff in attendance were Library Manager Alexis Wellborn and Administrative
Services Coordinator Laurie Arnold.

3. Approval of Minutes from March 13, 2025
Board Member Martha Garber moved to approve the Minutes from March 13,
2025, as presented. Board Member Haridas Radhakrishnan seconded the
-motion. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
4. Summer Reading Presentation with Children’s Services Staff
Library Board Members each received a small bag of Summer Reading
materlals assembled by the library's children's staff. Library Manager Alexis
Wellborn reviewed each Item in the bag and explained how It related to the
upcoming summer reading season.
5. Review and discuss Amended Bylaws of Cozby Library and Community
Commons Board
The Board discussed recommendations and changes to the bylaws proposed to
date. The summation of all Input will be discussed during the May meeting.
6. Library Manager's Report
Library Manager Alexis Wellborn reviewed library operations, programs and
events.
The new library hours, which will be effective June 1, 2025, have been
published in the latest Community Experiences catalog. Library staff were
issued new Teams phones on April 8th. The library's reservation system
experienced technical difficulties which were resolved in approximately two
weeks.
The Library and The Friends of the Library celebrated National Library Week
with staff appreciation gifts. The Librarlan Team hosted an Open House for city
staff on April 10th Including information regarding the power of a library card;
‘programming; and the library collection.

There being no further business before the Library Advisory Board, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
