AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS
AND DECLARING THE RESULT OF A BOND
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 4TH DAY
OF FEBRUARY, 1984 AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF DALLAS §
CITY OF COPPELL §
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City duly ordered an election to be
held in said City on the 4th day of February, 1984, on the Propositions
hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, said City 'Council has investigated all matters pertaining to
said election, including the ordering, giving notice, officers, holding and making
returns of said election; and
WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made
the returns of the result thereof, and said returns have been duly delivered to
said City Council;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
1. That the City Council officially finds and determines that said
election was duly ordered, that proper notice of said election was duly given,
that proper election officers were duly appointed and selected as provided by
law prior to said election, that said election was duly held, that due returns of
the result of said election have been made and delivered, and that the City
Council has duly canvassed said returns, all in accordance with law.
2. That the City Council officially finds and determines that the
following votes were cast at the election on the submitted Propositions, by the
resident, qualified electors who voted at the election:

THE ISSUANCE OF $9,900,000 GENERAL OBLI- FOR:
GATION STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS AGAINST: o"'/~-

THE ISSUANCE OF $2,850,000 GENERAL-OBLI- FOR:
GATION MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT CENTER BONDS AGAINST:
PROPOSITION NO. 3
THE ISSUANCE OF $1,730,000 GENERAL OBLI- FOR:
GATION FIRE STATION BONDS AGAINST:
PROPOSITION NO. 4
THE ISSUANCE OF $1,200,000 GENERAL OBLI- FOR:
GATION MUNICIPAL SERVICES CENTER BONDS AGAINST: (~//

3. That the City Council officially finds, determines, and declares the
result of said election to be that Propositions numbered /
so submitted have received a favorable majority vote in all respects
and have carried, and that the bonds voted thereunder be issued in accordance
with law and that the remaining Propositions, if any, failed to receive a
favorable majority vote and that no bonds be issued under those Propositions, if
any, that failed to receive a favorable majority vote.
4. That the public importance of this measure and the fact that it is
to the best interest of the City to provide funds for the improvements herein
contemplated at the earliest possible date for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, property, health or safety of the City and its citizens creates an
emergency and an imperative public necessity, and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its final passage and approval, and it is
so ordained.
