putting the part-time librarian position on hold.
Status of System Upgrade:
Sharon Castleberry and Connie Moss have attended
training on implementation of the new Horizon system. There will be a lot of changes with
the new system. We plan to put some of the changes into effect now, so that the staff can
adapt to new codes before installation. There will be training for staff on the new systems
and on Windows.
Facility:
We are currently converting the small Conference Room into the server
room, which will hold 5 servers and system printer. We are still working with the 3M
company, the city facilities’ department and the city’s HVAC contract vendor to solve the
problem of electromagnetic noise along the front part of the building.
