OR 230 Notice of Intent - Esters Rd. Project ORDINANCE NO. 230 AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NO- TICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE $300,000 CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, COMBINATION TAX AND REV- ENUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1981 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: 1. That the City Secretary of the City of Coppell, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to issue a notice in substantially the following form: "NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION "THE STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DALLAS § CITY OF COPPELL § "NOTICE is hereby given that on the 24th day of February, 1981, the City of Coppert, Texas, at a regular meeting of the City Council to be held at the High School located at 401 West Cowboy Drive in the City of Coppell, the regular meeting place of the City Council, intends to pass an ordinance authorizing the issuance of Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, for the purpose of paying contractual obligations to be incurred for the construction of 'a public work, to-wit: street paving and drainage improvements to portions of Esters Road and Cotton Road and paying all or a portion of the contractual obligations for professional services of engineers, attorneys and financial advisors in connection with said public improvement and Certificates of Obligation. Said Certificates shall be issued in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000); they shall bear interest at a rate not to exceed Ten Per Cent (10%) per annum, and shall have a maximum maturity date of not later than Forty (40) years after their date. Said Certificates shall be payable from the levy of a direct and continuing annual ad valorem tax against all taxable property within said City sufficient to pay the interest on this series of Certificates as due and to provide for the principal thereof as the same matures, as authorized by Article 2368a.1, V.A.T.C.S., as amended and supplemented, and from the revenues of the City's Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System remaining after payment of all operation and main- tenance expenses thereof, and all debt service, reserve and other requirements in connection with all of the City's revenue bonds (now or hereafter outstanding) which are payable from all or any part of the net revenues of the City's Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System. "THIS NOTICE is given in accordance with law and as directed by the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas. "GIVEN this the 27th day of January, 1981. City Secretary" 2. The foregoing notice shall be published on the same day of each of two successive weeks, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date set forth in the foregoing notice for passage of the ordinance authorizing said Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation.
