OR 227 Revenue Bonds ORDINANCE NO. 227 f~, MINUTES AND CERTIFICATION PERTAINING TO AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE $1,200,000 CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, WATER AND SEWER REVE- NUE BONDS, SERIES 1980; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY THE STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DALLAS § CITY OF COPPELL § On this the 13th day of November, 1980, the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in Special meeting at the regular meeting place thereof, the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Article 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S., and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of said City Council, to-wit: Andrew Brown, Mayor David Phillips ) Dorothy Timmons, City Secretary Roy Brock ) Councilmembers Glen White ) Dale Ware ) and all of said persons were present, except the following absentees: E~)I~ ~_~ U,J:li~,_y , thus constituting a quorum. Whereupon, among other business the following was transacted at said Meeting: An Ordinance directing the Giving of Notice of Intention to issue $1,200,000 City of Coppell, Texas, Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series '1980; and Declaring an Emergency The Ordinance, a full, true and correct copy of which is attached hereto, was read and reviewed by the City Council. Thereupon, it was moved by Councilmember ~,_)~'~ J and seconded by Councilmember '~OCI~ that the Ordinance be passed. The Mayor put the motion to a vote of the members of the City Council and the Ordinance was passed by the following vote: AYES: All members shown present above 'voted "Aye". NOES:' None. The Mayor then declared the Ordinance passed, and signed 'and approved the same in the presence of the City Council. ORDINANCE NO. 227 AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE $1,200,000 CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, WATER AND SEWER REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1980; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: 1. That the City Secretary of the City of Coppell, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to issue a notice in substantially the following form: "NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE WATER AND SEWER REVENUE BONDS "THE STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DALLAS § CITY OF COPPELL § "NOTICE is hereby given that on the 9th day of December, 1980, the City of CoppeR, Texas, at a regular meeting of the City Council to be held at the High School located at 401 West Cowboy Drive in the City of Coppell, the regular meeting place of the City Council, intends to pass an ordinance authorizing the issuance of Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds, for the purpose of purchasing, repairing, improving and extending the existing water system in and for said City and for the payment of necessary and incidental expenses related thereto. Said Bonds shall be issued in an amount not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,200,000); they shall bear interest at a rate not to exceed Ten Per Cent (10%) per annum, and shall have a maximum maturity date of not later than Forty (40) years after their date. Said Bonds shall be payable from the net revenues of the City's combined Water and Sewer System, sufficient to pay the interest on this Series of Bonds as due and to provide for the payment of the principal thereof as the same matures, as authorized by Article 1111 et. seq., V.A.T.C.S., as amended and supplemented. " "THIS NOTICE is given in accordance with law and as directed by the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas. "GIVEN this 13th day of November, 1980. 2. The foregoing notice shall be published on the same day of each of two successive weeks, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date set in the foregoing notice for passage of the ordinance authorizing said Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds.
