ORDINANCE NO. 210
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME
OF A PORTION OF THAT PUBLIC ROADWAY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY KNOWN AS BETHEL SCHOOL ROAD TO VANBEBBER DRIVE; REPEALING
ANY PART OF ANY ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council that the name
of a certain section of Bethel School Road should be changed in order to avoid confusion
created by the way such road now meanders within the City; and
WHEREAS, such change has been requested by the Fire Department of the
City of CoppeI], the POlice Department of the City of Coppell and the postal service,
now, therefore,
BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL,
TEX AS:
SECTION ~. The name of that portion of roadway now known as Bethel School
Road which lies between its intersection with Denton Tap Road and Heartz Road,
within the corporate limits of the City of Coppel], Texas, is hereby changed and shah
henceforth be known as VANBEBBER DRIVE. For further identification, said section
of roadway is shown on the plat which is sttacbed bereto as Exhibit A and made a
part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Secretary shall forward a copy of this ordinance to the
City Engineer so that such cban~e may be properly shown on the official map of the
City.
SECTION 3. Any part of any ordinance inconsistent with or in conflict w}th
this ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
If any section, part of any section, paragraph or clause of tb{s ordinance is
declared ]nva]id or unconstitutiona] for any reason, such declaration shall not be held
to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other sections, part of
sections, paragraphs or clauses of this ordinance.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall take effect immedisteiv upon its passsge as the law in
such case provides.
