AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER
1, 1979 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1980; PROVIDING A TIME AND PLACE FOR SAID
PUBLIC HEARING, TO-WIT: ON THE11TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1979,
AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P .M. AT THE COPPELL HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE;
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Budget Officer of the City has heretofore on the 7 day
Of ~; , 197~2, filed with the City Secretgy, a GENERAL BUDGET
for the City covering the fiscal year October 1, 1979 through September 30, 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL,
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of CoDpell, Texas, finds

for~the~/is , 19 7~, with the City Secretsty, a General Budget for the City cal year October 1, 1979 through September 30, 1980.
SECTION 2. That in order to provide for s public hearing on such budget,
the City Council of the City hereby declares that said hearing shall take place on the

which said date is more than fifteen (15) days after the date said budget was filed
as above mentioned.
SECTION 3. That public notice shah be given by publieatiov of the hour,
date and place of such bearing in one issue of the official newspaper of the City,
which said publication shall be made not more than thirty (30) days nor less than ten
(10) days before the date of said hearing.
SECTION 4. The necessity for holding a public hearing on the proposed
budget for the next fiscal year as required by the laws of the State of Texas, requires
that this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage, as the
law in such cases provides.
