AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, PROVIDING
FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
OCTOBER 1, 1977 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1978; PROVIDING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR SAID PUBLIC HEARING, TO-WIT: ON THE 23RD DAY OF
AUGUST, 1977, AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P. M. AT THE CITY HALL;
PROVIDING FOR NOTICE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Budget Officer of the City has heretofore
on the~q~' day of ~b~ , 19 ~ , filed with the
City Secretary, a GENERAL BUDGET for the City covering the fiscal
year October 1, 1977 through September 30, 1978; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Coppell, Texas, finds that the ~t~ C~ of the City

the City Secretary, a General Budget for the City for the fiscal
year October 1, 1977 through September 30, 1978.
SECTION 2. That in order to provide for a public
hearing on such budget, the City Council of the City hereby

SECTION 3. That public notice shall be given by

publication shall be made not more than thirty (30) days
nor less than ten (10) days before the date of said hearing.
SECTION 4. The necessity for holding a public
hearing on the proposed budget for the next fiscal year as
required by the laws of the State of Texas, creates an emergency
and requires that this ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage, as the law in such cases provides.
