BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Coppell met on Thursday, October 4, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 255 Parkway Blvd.
In attendance:
David Stonecipher, Chairman
Mark LeGros, Vice Chairman
Steven Wright, Commissioner
Robert Chomiak, Commissioner
Norman Kressmann, Commissioner
David Terry, Alternate Commissioner
Donald Perschbacher, Alternate Commissioner
Also present:
Greg Jones, Chief Building Official
Mary Beth Spletzer, Recording Secretary
Absent:
John Hoppie, Alternate Commissioner
Robert Turk, Alternate Commissioner
Item 1: Call to Order.
Chairman Stonecipher called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Item 2:
Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman.
Motion was made by Commissioner Kressmann that David Stonecipher be re-elected Chairman, and
Mark LeGros be re-elected Vice Chairman. Motion was seconded by Commission Wright, and a
vote was taken. Motion carried, 5 to 0.
Item 3:
Approval of Minutes of September 6, 2001 Meeting
Motion was made by Commissioner Chomiak to approve the minutes of the September 6, 2001,
meeting. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Kressmann, and a vote was taken. Motion
carried, 5 to 0. Minutes approved.
Chairman Stonecipher announced that a letter of withdrawal had been received from the applicant
who was granted a continuance at the September 6th meeting, regarding the variance request for the
property located at Lot 2, Block 3 of the Town Center Addition.
Item 4: Other Business.
New member: Greg Jones welcomed the newest member of the Board, Donald Perschbacher.
Schedule training/orientation session: It was agreed that the annual training and orientation session
with City Attorney would be held on Thursday, October 18th, at 7 p.m., at the Building Inspections
office, located at 500 Southwestern Blvd.
Attendance: Greg Jones reminded the Board of the attendance policy, adding that although this
policy does not apply to alternate members, they are, nevertheless, encouraged to attend, since
attendance at board meetings is a good learning experience in preparation for serving on the Board.
Adjournment.
Motion was made by Commissioner Kressmann that the meeting be adjourned. Motion was
seconded by Commissioner Wright, and a vote was taken. Motion carried, 5 to 0. Meeting
adjourned.
