AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING AND HOLDING OF AN ELECTION ON
THE PROPOSITION OF THE ADOPTION OF A LOCAL SALES AND USE
TAX IN THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. It iS hereby ordered that an Election
shall be held on the i~_ day of 19 on the
proposition of adopting a Local Sales and Use Tax in the City.
SECTION 2.

The polling place for said Election
City Hall.
The Polls shall be open from 7:00 A.M.
to 7:00 P.M. on the date of said Election and none but legally
qualified voters of the City of Coppell, Texas, shall be
entitled to vote at said Election.
SECTION 3. The ballots or voting machines shall
have printed on them the following proposition:
"For adoption of a One Percent (1%) local
sales and use tax within the City."
"Against adoption of a One Percent (1%) local
sales and use tax within the City."
SECTION 4. Notice of such Election shall be
given by publishing a copy of this Ordinance on the same day
of two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circul-
ation published within the City, the date of the first such
publication to be at least twentyone (21) days prior to the
date set for such election.
