OR 129-A-3 Amends section 20 of Ordinance No.129 to provide a new schedule of fees AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. 129A3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 20 OF THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS (ORDINANCE NO. 29), SO AS TO PROVIDE A NEW SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR THE FILING AND PROCESSING OF AN APPLICATION FOR ZONING CHANGE; ESTABLISHING SUCH FILING FEE TO BE ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), PLUS THE COST OF ADVERTISING INVOLVED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~tE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Coppell, Texas, Ordinance No. 129, be, and the same is hereby, amended by amending Section 20 thereof to read as follows: "SECTION 20. SCHFJ]YLE OF F~S, CHARGES AND F~PENSES The City Council shall establish a Schedule of Fees, charges and expenses, and a collection procedure for building permits, certificates of zoning compliance, appeals, and other matters pertaining to this ordinance. The Schedule below shall be posted in the Office of the Administration Official, and may be altered or amended only by the City Council. No permit, certificate, special exception, or variance shall be issued unless and until such costs, charges, fees or expenses listed below have been paid in full, nor shall any action be t~ken on proceed- ings before the Board of Adjustment tinless or until preliminary charges and fees have been paid in full. For services rendered, the following schedule of fees and charges are hereby adopted: (1) For docketing an ~nplication for Zoning Change with the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppe]l .... $100.00, plms costs of advertising and mailing of notices. (2) For docketing an Application for Relief with the Board of Adjustment of the City of Coppell ...................... ~ 50.00 No Petition shall be docketed with the Planning and ?oning Ccernission of the City of Coppell unless and until a receipt from the Tax Assessor Collector of the City has been furnished the Secretary of said Gm~nission showing that the fee provided for in this ordinance has been paid; and no application for relief shall be docketed with the Board of Adjustment of the City unless and until a receipt from the Tmx ~ssessor Collector of the City is furnished the Secretary of said Board showin~ that the fee provided for has been paid." SECTION 2. The necessity for the above amendment to protect the public interest, creates an urgency and an emergency for the preservation of the public hea~th, safety and welfare, and requires that this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage, as the law in such cases provides.
