ORDINANCE NO. 108
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS ,
ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL STREET NUMBERING SYSTEM; ADOPTING AN
OFFICIAL STREET NUMBERING MAP AND PROVIDING THAT THE SAID
STREET NUMBERING MAP BE RETAINED AS A PART OF THE OFFICIAL
RECORDS OF THE CITY SECRETARY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. STREET NUMBERING SYSTEM.
The street numbering system will be an address-
ing method based on standard street grid system. The north-
south reference line will be Sandy
reference will be Denton Tap Road.
Lake Road running in a north-south
Lake Road; east-west
Streets north of Sandy
direction will carry the
prefix North or "N". For example, North Or "N" Denton Tap
Road. Roads and Streets south of Sandy Lake Road which run
in a north-south direction will carry the Prefix South or
"S". In a similar manner, streets and roads running east-west
that are east of Denton Tap Road will carry the prefix East
or "E"; east-west running streets west of Denton Tap Road
will carry a West or "W" prefix.
Property numbering will start from Sandy Lake
Road with the north 100 block and the south 100 block and
numbering will proceed upward either north or south of Sandy
Lake Road. In tile same manner, property numbering beginning
at Denton Tap Road will commence with the east 100 block and
the west

100 block and increase as the distance
increases.
On streets running north and south,
carry
from Denton
the east side
the even numbers and the west side will carry the

odd numbers. On streets running east and west, the north side
will carry even numbers and the south side will carry odd num-
bers. Numbering on even-numbered sides of the street will start
with "00"; on odd-numbered sides of the street numbering will
start with "01". Numbering will increase by 4 for each separate
consecutive address; that is, 900, 904, 908, 912, etc. Where
block size prohibits use of this progression by 4, increase will
be by 2, that is 601, 603, 605, etc.
SECTION 2. ST~ET NUMBERING MAP.
The map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby
adopted as the official street numbering map of the City of
Coppell, Texas.
SECTION 3. SPECIAL H~DELING OF MAP.
Due to the size of the Map attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" it is directed that the Original of this Ordinance
be attached to the official map and the map and ordinance be
kept in the Office of the City Secretary as a part of the off-
icial records of that office and a duplicate original of this
ordinance without the map (Exhibit "A") attached, be placed in
the Official Ordinance Book.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately
and after its passage.
