AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING
THE CITY OF COPPELL "PLUMBING CODE," AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 103, BY DELETING PAGES 33 AND 34 DEALING WITH "PERMIT FEES"
AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR NEW PAGES 33, 33A, 33B AND 34, SO AS
TO ADOPT A NEW SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
PLUMBING PERMITS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION t. That the Plumbing Code of the City
of Coppell, Texas, adopted by Ordinance No. 103, be, and the
same is hereby amended by deleting said Pages 33 and 34 of
said_ adopted Code and substituting therefor the following

Each applicant for a permit shall make a sworn
statement setting forth the approximate building
area in square feet in the case of new construc-

Fees NO plumbing permit fee shall be required tot plumbing

Vavmen~ Sec. 35-37. Permit and inspection fees shall be due when

end of the calendar month, the Chief Plumbing Inspector or
his agent shall render a statemenl for the permit and

Limitation See. 35-38. Each specific permit issued shall expire by

the date of snch pemrit, or il' lhe work authorized by such
permit is suspended or abandoued at any time for a period of
six months. Before such work is slarted again, a new permit
shall be obtained.
Revocation. Sec. 35-39. Tire Chief Plumbing Inspector is aulhorized to
revoke any permit obtained by fraud, misrepresentation, or in
any way contrary to the requirements of tiffs Code.
Circuses, Sec. 35-40. Circuses, carnivals, fairs and similar temporary
carnivals, uses having porlable equipment involving the use of water
~te. f,'om tile City Watesworks system, or requiring conneclion to
the City sewer lines, shall employ a regislered plumbing
contractor to be responsible for the plumbiug work. Such
plumbing contraclor shall obtain the necessary permits and
pay the required fees.

SECTION 2. The necessity for the above amendment to
protect the public interest, creates an urgency and an emergency
for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare,
and requires that this Ordinance shall take effect on the ~k~
