OR 100-A-1 Amends Coppell Bldg Code (Ordinance 100) by replacing pages 30 & 31 regarding permit fees AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. 100A1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY OF COPPELL "BUILDING CODE," AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.100, BY DELETING PAGES 30 AND 31 DEALING WITH "PERMIT FEES" AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR NEW PAGES 30, 30A, 30B AND 31, SO AS TO ADOPT A NEW SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. (a) F~s. In addition to filing an application as provided above. the applicant shall pay to the Building Offi- cial before such petit is issued, a f~ as required in this section. When it becomes nccessa~' for a Plumbing Con- tractor or Electrical Contractor to obtain a building petit in ~nnectlon wid~ plumbing and elcctr;cal installations. as same are defined in the Plun3bing and Electrical Ordinances. the fee for such pe~its may be paid at the time or credited until the end of .the month in which issued; the procedure to be the same as in the case of plumbing pe~its or electrical peruits. ~ach applicant for a perm[~ shall make a swon etate~nt setting forth the approximate building area ~n square feut in the case of new construc- ~ion or the total market value of the pro~sed work ~ncluding equipment, devices, materials, etc., which will be inco~orated in the project ~n the case of remodeling, additions, and alter- ations~ including swimlug pools, fences, etc. For new construction ~e pemit fee shall be based on building area. For remodeling, additions, a~d alterations, including swiping pools, fences, eto. ~ the permit fee shall be based upon dollar value of the proposed work. For fee calculation p~rposes, the building area includes: (A) Total floor under the roof of all stories (exoluding garages, porches, and patios), (B) One-half of the garages, porches, patios, and gro~d-covered area. No buihlis~ permit fee shall be re- quirecl for c~mstruetic~n or work in~Glving buildings or strue- tu,'es the title of which is vested in an orgauization which is exempt from taxation under the Constitution of this State (Arfic'le 8, Sectiou ~.) or laws of this State (Article 7501, Vem,n's Armored Civil Statutes), or property which the eonstituti~m authorizes the Legislature to exempt from taxa- tion.
