Re: Dallas Water Supply Line No. 3
Dear Mr. Pafford:
We have developed a proposed schedule for construction of the
water supply line from Dallas that we have previously discussed
(referred to in our records as Dallas Water Supply Line No.
This schedule follows:
(1) December 1991 - March 31, 1992: Develop new agreements,
as needed, with Dallas Water Utilities, Cities of Coppell
and Lewisville, and Town of Flower Mound for sharing
cost, method of financing and cost reimbursement.
(2) March 31, 1992: Complete construction plans.
(3) February 28, - June 30, 1992: Acquire easements needed
to proceed.
(4) July 31, 1992 - April 30, 1993: Construct Section 1 -
(Hackberry Pump Station to vicinity of Belt Line Road).
(5) April 30, 1993 - January 31, 1994: Construct Section 2 -
(Vicinity of Belt Line Road to Sandy Lake Road).
(6) January 31, 1994 - February 28, 1995: Construct Section
3 - (Joint Use Section from Sandy Lake Junction to
Dallas' Elm Fork Water Plant).
You will notice that the schedule provides for cQl~structing
the joint use section starting in early 1994 which allows
approximately two more years to arrange construction financing. An
agreement to provide for engineering and right-of-way costs would
be desirable, however, in the near future.
We have recently met with officials of Dallas Water Utilities
and they are generally agreeable to proceeding with the project
=along the lines we have discussed.

It is suggested that we meet future to discuss in more detail
how we can cooperatively proceed with this project. I will call
you to arrange a mutually convenient time for such discussions in
the near future.
